Ebenezer Youth SR L.I.T application

***Please read before proceeding to register***

An L.I.T is someone who is a leader in training. You are reading this because you may be someone who has leadership potential.

• 1. You will be developed as a leader with Ebenezer Youth
• 2. You will have opportunities to lead at Ebenezer Youth
• 3. Most importantly, we will dive deeper into following Jesus together

The three core values of being an L.I.T at Ebenezer Youth:

• 1. Relationship in God
• 2. Humility
• 3. Servanthood

How will we serve in the year?:
For an L.I.T level one:

1. Serving in different areas of Jr youth regularly

• • Welcome team
  • Leading activity
  • Prayer/ announcements
  • Sharing testimony ( both Jr/Sr youth night)
  • Sharing devotional
  • Thinking creatively and giving some thought into how we run youth (Jr/Sr youth night)

2. Helping out with children’s ministry

3. Helping out on Sundays in various capacities

How do I apply to be an L.I.T?

We see L.I.T'ing in two semesters and camp leadership training:

Semester 1: September-December

Semester 2: January-June

The areas you must apply to are the two semesters of L.I.Ting. All who are planned to serve at camp are invited to camp leadership training. For any of the two semesters of L.I.Ting and you will have to fill our our L.I.T application form in the next page:

Qualifications to Apply:

• You are in Grades 9-12.
• You are a believer and follow Jesus.
• You are desiring to grow in your relationship with Jesus and your leadership abilities.
• You have read the Baptist General Conference Statement of Faith and understand that it is the basis of what is taught at Ebenezer Baptist Church

Expectations:

• You are highly encouraged to attend an L.I.T retreat (SR Youthquake 2025)
• You are committed to showing up on time and staying until the evening is done (6:45-9:10pm) and are ready to participate in all portions of our night together.
• You are willing to communicate appropriately if you will be absent for a program night. We expect ONE WEEK notice when possible, and that you attend at least 50% of the time.

Application:

• If you are interested in pursuing being an L.I.T, you will need to apply to be an L.I.T.
